A Flooring retailer comes to Romford for its latest store opening

A FLOORING retailer is preparing to open its third London store in the last three months, with a £250,000 investment in a new store in Romford.

After openings in Brent Cross and Croydon in August and September respectively, Flooring Superstore is moving across to East London with its latest store.

One of the UK’s fastest-growing retailers, it is investing £250,000 in the 4,000 square foot outlet which will create four new jobs for local people when it opens at Gallows Corner on the Southend Arterial Road on Saturday 31st October.

This will be the 23rd Flooring Superstore opened in the UK in the last three years.

Flooring Superstore Regional Manager Ian Robinson said: “We are delighted to have been able to choose Romford for our newest store.

“It represents a significant investment in the town, and we’re excited about making our contribution to the local retail economy.

“It’s difficult to believe that just three months ago, we had no presence in London and now, with Romford opening in October, we will have three.

“The capital has always been an important part of the growth strategy at Flooring Superstore, so we’re pleased to have finally arrived and in numbers!”

Shoppers visiting Flooring Superstore in Romford will have access to an unrivalled range of carpets but also a huge choice of other flooring, such as vinyl, laminate, real wood, luxury vinyl tiles, EvoCore and the UK’s largest selection of artificial grass.

Ian explained: “We are unique in being able to meet peoples’ flooring needs under one roof, whether that’s wood flooring for living areas, carpets for bedrooms, vinyl in the bathroom or even artificial grass for the garden.

“And because we started life as an online brand, we have also been able to maintain online pricing at our physical stores, so we hope this will appeal to shoppers.

“We are delighted to continue new store openings, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, bringing jobs to local areas as the demand for our products rise.”

To mark the opening, Flooring Superstore is running a free, instore ‘Golden Ticket’ promotion. Anyone who comes into the store, regardless whether they are buying flooring or not, will be invited to take one of 150 tickets. 145 of these tickets will have 15% off flooring, four will give people £250 to spend in-store and one golden ticket will give a lucky person £1,000 to spend on flooring ranges of their choice.
