B&M store closed after man is arrested for GBH and another taken to hospital.

B&M store in Romford market place was closed earlier this morning following a disturbance in the shop.

The Romford store was closed just before 10 am as police carried out an investigation following an incident in the store.

A Met police spokesperson told the Havering Daily:

“Police were called at 09:49hrs on Thursday, 24 September to reports of a disturbance at a shop on Market Place in Romford.

“Officers attended. One person was taken by the London Ambulance Service to hospital for treatment to a head injury; their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

“One person has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and theft. They have been taken to an east London police station where they remain in custody.

“Enquiries continue.”
