
Dishoom Shoreditch, in Boundary Street, has scooped a Tripadvisor “best of the best” Travellers’ Choice Award for 2025, in the vegan and vegetarian category.
The venue – which describes itself as an old Irani cafe serving “Bombay comfort food” – is rated sixth in the UK in this category and scores 4.5 stars overall on Tripadvisor.
Travellers’ Choice Awards are determined by looking at both the quality and quantity of traveller reviews on the site over the last 12 months.
Winners of the Best of the Best awards are among the highest-rated dining destinations worldwide, falling with in the top one per cent of restaurants listed on Tripadvisor.
Dishoom Shoreditch came up against other plant-based dining spots in the capital, including Scarlett Green in Soho and Mallow in Borough Market.

There are seven other categories in the 2025 awards – ranging from fine dining to hidden gems – with Barge East in Hackney Wick recognised as ninth best in the world for the one-of-a-kind category.
