Majestic Wine seeks premise licence for Brentwood outlet

Majestic Wine Warehouses Ltd has applied to Brentwood Council for a premise licence in respect of their upcoming shop on Brook Street.

The site was previously occupied by Topps Tiles.

A notice of the licence application, published on Wednesday (May 15), revealed the proposed licensable activities to be sale of alcohol for consumption off premises between 8am to 11pm on all days.

Objections against the application can be sent in writing to Brentwood Council’s licensing authority by post or by email no later than May 30 explaining the grounds for representation.

Majestic Wine claims to be UK’s largest specialist wine retailer on its website and was originally founded in 1980 with its first warehouse in Harringay, north London.

In addition to a variety of wines and wine cases, the chain also offers champagnes, beers and ciders.
